Obituary

James Whitaker of Kingston, Ontario, died on October 14, 2021, at seventy years old. He was a husband, a father, and the grandfather who could fill a couch with laughter before anyone had even sat down. As a young man he disappeared into the hills with a pack on his back and came home with stories. That trail smile never left him. In later years it lived in the living room: Sunday pie on the table, light on the sofa, and a house that always felt like home. He is remembered by Margaret, by his children, and by the two little ones who still look for him on that couch.
